On December 12th, the Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) on the City Hall / Medical Office Building project was released for public review. This Draft EIR has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Release of the Draft EIR commences a 45-day public review period. Members of the community are invited to review the Draft EIR and submit comments on the adequacy of the EIR during the 45-day review period. The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on January 14th, 2015, during which oral comments on the Draft EIR can be provided. Written comments can be submitted through January 26th.

Following the public review period of the Draft EIR, all of the comments received on the Draft EIR will be reviewed. Next, a Final EIR will be prepared, which will address comments that were submitted on the Draft EIR during the 45-day public review period.

The Draft EIR can be viewed on the City’s website, or a hard copy may be viewed in the lobby of City Hall or at the Sylvan Library during normal business hours. Copies of the Draft EIR are available for pick up at City Hall. Electronic version on CD is available at no charge and a printed version has a fee of $38.00.
