[ARCHIVED] Update: Citrus Heights & Rocklin Gun Store Burglaries – Second Suspect Arrested

Community Update

During the course of the investigation into the theft of two firearms from an open business in Citrus Heights on January 29, 2024, Citrus Heights Police Impact Detectives obtained information that the second suspect, 27-year-old Taron Carter, was at an apartment complex off of 47th Avenue in South Sacramento. 


On January, 31, 2024 at approximately 4:00 pm, Citrus Heights Police Department IMPACT Detectives, K9 Unit, and Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department Air Unit, located 27-year-old Taron Carter and took him into custody.


The last remaining suspect is still wanted for questioning.  He is identified as 28-year-old Rollkey McDaniel (pictured below) and is currently on Sacramento County PRCS Probation for felon in possession of a firearm.  Anyone with information about his whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Citrus Heights Police Department Crime Tip Line at 916-727-5524.
