April 29, 2016 - Citrus Heights Youth will be the focus at the upcoming Citrus Heights Police Activities League (CHPAL) Harley Davidson Motorcycle Raffle and 3rd Annual Fundraising Banquet to be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. in the Citrus Heights Community Center located at 6300 Fountain Square Drive, Citrus Heights, 95621.
CHPAL is a 501(c) (3) non-profit charitable youth organization established in 2010 to encourage positive interaction between police personnel and the youth in our community. The primary goal is to constructively mentor and influence local, at-risk youth through a variety of recreational activities. “Positive relationships built between youth and police officers help reduce crime, and helps keep our kids from becoming involved in gangs and/or drug abuse,” said Lieutenant Jason Russo.
Tickets for the banquet are $15.00 each or $150.00 for a table of ten. Proceeds from the event are used to provide free or low-cost activities throughout the year for CHPAL kids. A large portion of money raised comes from the sale of Harley Davidson raffle tickets ($25.00 each) and from our sponsors. The evening will feature a spaghetti dinner and no-host bar. Entertainment will be provided by our own CHPD “dancers”; definitely a show you won’t want to miss! The silent auction always features a large array of great merchandise and, as mentioned, up to two of the department’s original Harley Davidson Road King motorcycles will be raffled. Over 300 people are expected to attend.
Tickets to the CHPAL Banquet/Raffle can be purchased by calling (916) 727-4820, or by emailing Lieutenant Jason Russo at jrusso@citrusheights.net. You can also purchase tickets in person at the Citrus Heights Police Department (front desk) located at 6315 Fountain Square Drive in Citrus Heights.
