On 9/11/2024, at approximately 2:50 PM, the Citrus Heights Police Department received multiple 911 calls regarding a collision between a vehicle and motorcycle in the 7700 block of Antelope Road.   Officers arrived on scene and located a motorcyclist lying on the ground and attempted to provide lifesaving efforts; however, the motorcyclist was pronounced as deceased at the scene.

The cause of the collision is still being investigated, but alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the collision.

The Citrus Heights Police Department’s Traffic Unit responded to the scene to investigate the collision. Both eastbound and westbound lanes of Antelope Road between Mariposa Avenue and Sunrise Boulevard are closed while the collision is being investigated. The identity of the deceased motorcyclist is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.

Any witnesses to the collision are encouraged to contact the Citrus Heights Police Department at (916) 727-5500. Additionally, the Citrus Heights Police Department wants to remind all drivers to be attentive to the roadway and other motorists.
