History and Arts Commissioner Larry Fritz has completed his “Ladies to the Rescue” oral history documentary. The documentary, premiering October 20th, features interviews from former members of the Ladies Auxiliary and Ladies in White. These two all-female volunteer organizations provided Citrus Heights and the surrounding area with fire-fighting and EMT services from the 1940s-1980s. Commissioner Fritz has brought together memorable stories of these unique organizations directly from those who made it possible.
