In 2025, the City expects to be awarded annual entitlement funds estimated at $600,000, of which approximately $90,000 is available for public services. A non-profit is free to select an activity that best meets the needs of the community, meets a national objective, and can meet the requirements of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. Past activities that have received CDBG funds include meals for seniors, youth programs, homeless services, job employment, domestic violence, and fair housing services.
City staff will host a workshop for applicants who wish to learn more about the CDBG program and what is required of a non-profit if selected for funding. The workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, July 30, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM via Microsoft Teams. The workshop is optional. If you wish to attend, please email your contact information to housing@citrusheights.net.
Applications are due August 6, 2024, no later than 4:00 PM. Please review the application and checklist. If there are any questions about the application or CDBG program, you may email the Housing Division at housing@citrusheights.net.
