The current Art in City Hall exhibit features the art work of Ken Maddex. Ken has produced many oil paintings. He has had one-man exhibitions at Loomis and Rocklin Libraries and showed and sold paintings in the Citrus Heights City program. He is a founding member of the Rocklin Fine Art club, and a member of Springfield Fine Art Club and Placer Arts, and exhibits with all of them. He has received many awards at the Snowflake exhibition in Rocklin and has exhibited in the Blueline Gallery in Roseville and the Sacramento Fine Arts in Carmichael. He had a booth at the “Art in the Garden” in Mendocino Botanical Garden in Fort Bragg.
Ken paints mostly in Oil but will use many media. He will paint Landscapes, Seascapes, Still Life, Portraits, (Murals), abstracts, Experimental stuff and humorous topics.
Art in City Hall features the exhibitions of local artists in various buildings in the Citrus Heights Civic Center Complex located at 6237 Fountain Square Drive. A new exhibition is featured every two months and generally includes the work of two to three artists. The public is invited to view the art collection at City Hall during regular business hours.
