Youth Employment Program (Out of School Youth Program): 

We provide a program for Out of School youth who are interested in gaining soft skills, develop leadership skills, and obtain PAID work experience. Attached, you will find our YEP flyer for youth who may be interested.

Program highlights:

  • PAID Work Experience
  • Employment Skills
  • Leadership Development
  • Support Services
  • Ongoing Job Search Support

Youth must have a barrier to employment to be eligible for the Youth Employment Program.

Barriers Include:

  • Probation
  • Former/Current foster youth
  • Pregnant/Parenting
  • Low income household
  • Homeless/Runaway
  • Disability
  • Live in a high-poverty zip code area: 95652,95824, 95815, 95825, 95814, 95811, 95660, 95830, 95838

Along with the application, you will need to bring your ID, Social Security Card, and proof of your barrier to employment. Please refer to the checklist in your application for exampled of “proof of barrier”. 

Lastly, I wanted to inform everyone that this program has limited spots- this year we are able to enroll 19 youth into this program so the sooner you bring your application/required docs the better to ensure you are able to be part of this year’s Youth Employment Program!
