Notes

  1. Sign height may be increased by 1 foot for each foot the setback of the sign is increased, to a maximum sign height of 25 feet. There is no maximum sign square footage.
  2. Sign height may be increased by 1 foot for each foot the setback of the sign is increased, to a maximum sign height of 12 feet. The maximum size is 100 square feet.

Wall Signs

The maximum allowable wall sign area is based upon the length of the primary building frontage. The allowable square footage may be divided up between any side of building but the combined total area of wall signs allowed for a business shall not exceed the following requirements:

  • BP Zone - 1 square foot for each linear foot of primary building frontage
  • GC Zone - 2 square feet for each linear foot of primary building frontage
  • SC Zone - 2 square feet for each linear foot of primary building frontage
  • LC Zone - 2 square feet for each linear foot of primary building frontage

Calculating Sign Area

The surface area of a sign shall be calculated by enclosing the extreme limits of all framing, emblem, logo, representation, writing, or other display within a single continuous perimeter composed of square or rectangles with no more than 8 lines.
