ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY
The City recently completed updating its Economic Development Strategy, which outlines a work plan that the City can undertake to strengthen and diversify its economy. The previous strategy, approved in 1999, was very successfull with the City achieving many of the goals set forth in that plan. The new Strategy provides a multifaceted approach to business retention and attraction by adding more diversity to the economy; assisting the existing retail base to adapt to the current marketplace; nurturing local small-businesses, especially home-based businesses; and marketing Citrus Heights' desirable residential and business qualities.
