The Planning Division serves as the information center to assist citizens and the development community in understanding and applying Citrus Heights development policies in accordance with the Citrus Heights General Plan, the Citrus Heights Zoning Ordinance, and other applicable property development standards.  The Planning Division can provide information on development processes, land use, zoning, and urban design. 

The division also serves as the primary staff support to the Planning Commission and issues tree permits.
