Antelope Crossing Transformation Project
Antelope Road and Interstate 80
The City of Citrus Heights was awarded a $100,000 grant from the
Sacramento Region Air Quality and Infill Streamlining Program for the
Antelope Crossing Transformation Project.
The project is to develop a vision and concept plan for Antelope Crossing to capitalize on its location, provide for a mix of uses, improve connectivity between the shopping centers and the residential area surrounding it and intensify uses with the goal of reducing vehicle miles traveled (VMT).
The selected consultant, The Planning Center, assembled an impressive team of economists, urban planners, and transportation planners to study Antelope Crossing, facilitate community involvement in the project, and develop a new vision for Antelope Crossing. An advisory committee made up of property owners, business owners, and residents was assembled to engage the community in the visioning process. Two community workshops were also held.
The Antelope Crossing Transformation Plan is now complete and is provided below.
