| Road Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Project |
This project will rehabilitate pavement on Sunrise Boulevard from Greenback Lane to Sayonara Drive and Fair Oaks Boulevard from Oak Avenue to Old Auburn Road. The project will also repair failed sidewalk as well as curb and gutter, construct ADA curb ramps at all corners, install pedestrian upgrades (pedestrian push buttons and audible/countdown pedestrian signal heads) at each signalized intersection, construct new sidewalk and landscaped pedestrian safety barriers at the Old/Auburn/Fair Oaks intersection and apply updated striping and marking. |
This project is currently wrapping up. It is budgeted at just under $2 million. Additional funding for this project came from Sacramento County Measure A sales tax, the State Transportation Improvement Program, Proposition 1B (Gas Tax) and a California Integrated Waste Management Board Grant.

| Greenback Lane Pedestrian Safety Project |
The Greenback Lane Pedestrian Safety Improvements Project (the Project) is the second Citrus Heights project to receive Federal stimulus funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The Project will address pedestrian safety concerns on Greenback Lane between Birdcage Street and Mariposa Avenue. Work will include installation of a pedestrian crossing signal between Patterson Lane and Burich Avenue, installation of a barrier fence in the medians (to prevent unsafe pedestrian crossings), re-landscaping of the medians, reconstruction of the existing curb, gutter and sidewalk and installation of ADA curb ramps at each corner. The Project will also install pedestrian upgrades (pedestrian push buttons and audible/countdown pedestrian signal heads) at the existing signalized intersections.

This project has a budget of $1.5 million. This project is currently out to bid. Work on the Project is expected to take 4-5 months to complete.

| Twin Oaks Rehabilitation Project |
Includes portions along Twin Oaks Avenue between Auburn Boulevard and Sunrise Avenue. |
The City has received funding authorization for this project in the amount of $613,720. Engineering anticipates bidding out this project in February, with construction starting in April.

This project has a budget of $173,248 and will continue until the funds are depleted. Funding for this project is a combination of CDBG-R funds and additional Community Development Block Grant Program funds awarded as part of the ARRA legislation.
