Planning Commission |
Hears projects related to land use, reviews proposed ordinances and other issues relating to the implementation of the City's General Plan. |

History and Arts Commission |
Assists the City in the preservation and enhancement of historical building and artifacts, as well as assisting in the promotion of cultural arts within the community. |

Construction Board of Appeals |
Assists in determining suitability of materials and methods of construction, as well as interpreting technical codes. |
|
Sacramento Regional Human Rights/Fair Housing Advisory Board |
Provides direction to the Executive Director of the Human Rights/Fair Housing Commission consistent with the policy, goals, objectives, and priorities established by the Governing Board. |

Sacramento Cities/County Solid Waste Advisory Committee |
Hears issues relating to the county of Sacramento Integrated Waste Management plan and all of its state-mandated city and/or county unincorporated area waste management planning documents. |

Sacramento-Yolo Mosquito and Vector Control Board |
The District's mission is to provide safe, effective, and economical mosquito and vector control for Sacramento and Yolo Counties. |

Sheriff's Outreach Community Advisory Board |
The purpose of the Board is to collaboratively establish and implement programs that seek to resolve conflict, concerns and issues regarding the Sacramento Sheriff's Department. |
How Do I Apply?Applications are available from the City of Citrus Heights, 6237 Fountain Square Drive, or can be downloaded from the City's Web site by clicking on
Application for Appointment. Applications must be returned to the City Clerk's Office, 6237 Fountain Square Drive, Citrus Heights, CA 95621. Your application will be kept on file for two years for consideration should a mid-year vacancy occur. Applicants must be a resident of the City of Citrus Heights.
What Happens When You Apply?
Applications are accepted year-round and vacancies are filled as they become available. When a vacancy occurs, the City Clerk prepares a public notice and announces the vacancy. Three to four weeks after the vacancy announcement, the completed applications are forwarded to the City Council for review and consideration. The City Council votes on all appointments during a Council meeting, which are open to the public.
