The Auburn Boulevard Complete Streets Revitalization Project has been in the works since 2006 and has been dreamed of since the city incorporated in 1997. This project will revitalize a one-mile segment of historic Highway 40. Upon completion, the new Auburn Boulevard will feature undergrounded utilities, 230 new street trees, 9,600 lineal feet of sidewalks and bike lanes, 100 energy-efficient street lights and greatly improved road safety for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians.
