Are you a Citrus Heights resident or community group with an idea for a project or event that connects the community? The Citrus Heights Community Projects Grant will provide grants to community groups to implement projects and events that engage citizens in creative efforts to improve the community and promote community involvement, connection, and pride. The application period opens today through Friday, April 14, at 4 pm. A compelling application details a project or event scope that can be completed within a year of approval and describes how it will create community connection and engagement.
The program is a Citrus Heights City Council strategic objective approved in September 2022 with an initial allocation of $50,000 in American Rescue Plan Act funds. “This program reflects our commitment to steward American Rescue Plan Act funds effectively and directly into the community toward community priorities,” says Mayor Tim Schaefer, “we want to use this to help individuals and groups doing positive things in our community.”
