The City of Citrus Heights has launched a community survey as part of the Auburn Blvd. Complete Streets Project, which is currently in its second phase and focused on design of the corridor from Rusch Park to Orlando Ave.
Work in this second phase will include undergrounding utilities, improving the roadway, upgrading sidewalks and bike lanes, installing a new traffic signal, designing a new gateway entrance, and more.
The City’s survey, open through October 1, is centered on potential designs for a new gateway entrance over Auburn Blvd. just south of Whyte Ave. “We want to welcome residents and visitors to Citrus Heights and build placemaking around the corridor,” said City of Citrus Heights Principal Civil Engineer Hunter Young. “We are also looking to balance the aesthetic of the boulevard improvements with elements like safety, longevity, maintenance costs, and more.”
Community members are invited to take the survey online at CH-Info.net. To learn more about the Auburn Blvd. Compete Streets Project, visit https://www.citrusheights.net/1127/.
