Sacramento County Health Officer Issues COVID-19 Order

Citrus Heights residents: While City Hall continues to work remotely to serve you, we wanted to share the latest news from Sacramento County.

The County has issued an order for all individuals living in the County (including Citrus Heights) to stay at their place of residence, except for "Essential Activities, Essential Governmental Functions, or to operate Essential Businesses." Please visit the County’s website for definitions of each of those categories. https://www.saccounty.net/news/latest-news/Pages/SacCountyHealthOfficerIssuesCOVID-19Order.aspx

This Health Order goes in effect tonight at 11:59 p.m. through midnight April 7. Again, this order DOES include incorporated cities in Sacramento County, including us here in Citrus Heights.

If you are a Citrus Heights business owner, and want to know if you qualify as an essential business, please reach out to the County. The City does not determine and is not involved in this classification process.

Residents, we want to note that "engaging in outdoor activity" is listed as an essential activity. If you’re feeling well, please get out an enjoy the sunshine when possible -- provided you comply with Social Distancing Requirements and take extra precautions if you’re among the high-risk population!
