Transportation permits are required when transporting large vehicles through the city. Examples of uses requiring a transportation permit include:

Fees
Effective January 1, 2010, the fee for an annual transportation permit is $90. The fee for a single-use transportation permit is $16. Please complete one of the following*: the Annual Transportation Permit Application (PDF) or the Single Trip Application (PDF) and send it via email to General Services or fax to 916-727-1454, along with a copy of your check.

***HOLIDAY MORATORIUM***
To better control the holiday traffic and increase driver and pedestrian safety through the holiday season, the City of Citrus Heights limits construction in the right-of-way on major streets.
The city’s Construction Moratorium will be in effect from 5:00 pm on the Friday before Thanksgiving until 8:00 am on January 2. The Moratorium applies to all construction and utility work and all oversize loads requiring a transportation permit.
The streets included in this moratorium are as follows:
Antelope Road, Auburn Boulevard, Dewey Drive, Fair Oaks Boulevard, Greenback Lane, Madison Avenue, Old Auburn Road, San Juan Avenue, Sunrise Boulevard, Sylvan Road, and Van Maren Lane.
