Board Overview
The Residents Empowerment Association of Citrus Heights (REACH) is an umbrella organization that consists of a board of directors and 1 member from each of the 11 neighborhood associations.
The REACH board acts as a coordinating body for the 11 neighborhood groups. Although REACH and its member organizations are independent from the city, the city works very closely with them and provides some support for administration, operations, and neighborhood improvement projects.
The boards usually meet once a month and work to solve neighborhood issues, such as traffic, crime, or blight. Board members share information on city planning and projects, host educational presentations about community resources, such as the UC Davis Master Gardeners or the Sylvan Oaks Library. The board promotes community involvement through volunteer opportunities and promoting various community events.
