The City of Citrus Heights and Republic Services are proud to provide residential garbage and recycling services at very reasonable rates. The table below shows the rates for service over the last ten years. Notice how our residents are still paying very similar rates for garbage and recycling services in 2022 as they did TWELVE years ago in 2010!

Rates are determined by the size of the garbage cart. Customers may have ONE extra green waste OR mixed recycling container at no additional charge upon request. Please contact Republic Services at 916-725-9060 for more information.

Republic Services will replace each cart up to one time per year if it has been lost, stolen, or damaged. If your trash can is dirty but functioning properly and all parts are undamaged, it may not qualify for a free replacement.
